There are lots of different kinds of greens this week - spinach, 2 different heads of lettuce, a braising mix with baby kales, collards and chard, a baby lettuce mix, Red Russian Kale - along with Tokyo turnips and spring onions. Besides eating the freshes produce possible I will also be expanding my cooking skills. Tonights dinner will be pork tenderloin with braised Tokyo turnips and a spring mix salad. Yum!!Tuesday, May 4, 2010
What's in the box?
One of the perks of living in California is all the wonderful farm fresh produce. After reading about them in the Sacramento Bee, I decided to become a member of Soil Born Farm's CSA which stands for community supported agriculture. Once a week I will be picking up a box of in season vegetables. Today was my first box.
